Who we are

WatchRove is a movie and entertainment discovery website. The site helps visitors browse movie pages, genre routes, streaming-service sections, TV show routes, and related entertainment information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and what choices and rights may be available to you. It applies to WatchRove pages that link to this policy, including the home page, category pages, movie detail pages, and legal pages.

Information we collect

We collect information in three general ways: information your browser sends automatically, information created by your interactions with the site, and information you choose to provide to us.

• Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, buttons selected, search terms entered on the site, category pages visited, movie detail pages opened, approximate time on page, scrolling and navigation patterns, referring pages, exit pages, and similar interaction data.
• Technical data: IP address, cookie identifiers, analytics identifiers, device type, browser type, browser version, operating system, language settings, screen size, approximate region, network information, timestamps, and diagnostic information.
• Local browser data: preferences, saved UI state, or other browser-stored values if a feature uses cookies, local storage, or session storage. The current prototype is designed to keep these features lightweight.
• Contact data: information you voluntarily send to us, such as name, email address, organization, copyright notice details, business inquiry details, or message content.
• Legal request data: information needed to process rights requests, DMCA notices, complaints, law enforcement requests, or other legal communications.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as precise geolocation, government identification numbers, payment card numbers, health information, biometric information, or account passwords through this website.

Google Analytics

We plan to use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use WatchRove and to improve navigation, page layout, search behavior, content quality, page performance, and user experience. Google Analytics may collect usage and technical data through cookies, tags, device identifiers, and similar technologies.

Examples of analytics events may include page views, session duration, approximate geographic region, device category, browser type, traffic source, search interactions, category clicks, outbound link clicks, and errors or performance events. We use this information in aggregate or pseudonymous form to evaluate what works well and what should be improved.

We do not intend to use Google Analytics to collect sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly send names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment data, government identifiers, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics. We will avoid placing personal information in URLs, page titles, search parameters, custom dimensions, custom metrics, or event labels sent to Google Analytics.

Google may process analytics information according to Google's own privacy terms and data processing terms. Visitors can use browser settings, consent controls where available, or Google-provided opt-out tools to limit analytics collection.

Cookies and similar technologies

WatchRove may use cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the website, measure traffic, understand user behavior, remember preferences, and improve the service.

• Strictly necessary technologies: support core site functions, navigation, security, and basic operation.
• Analytics technologies: help us measure visits, page views, interactions, performance, referral sources, and aggregate usage trends.
• Preference technologies: remember choices such as local UI state, if enabled.
• Security technologies: help detect abuse, suspicious traffic, errors, or unauthorized activity.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some browsers also allow you to clear cookies and site data for a specific website. If you block cookies or local storage, some features may not work as expected, but the main static browsing experience should remain available.

If a cookie banner or consent manager is added in production, it should describe the categories used, allow legally required choices, store consent preferences, and provide a way to change those choices later.

How we use information

We use information for website operation, improvement, measurement, security, communication, and legal compliance. We limit use to purposes that are reasonably related to the context in which the information was collected.

• Operate, maintain, test, debug, and secure the website.
• Understand which pages, categories, searches, and navigation paths are useful to visitors.
• Improve layout, search quality, content organization, loading speed, accessibility, and overall user experience.
• Detect technical errors, broken links, abusive traffic, automated misuse, and security issues.
• Respond to contact messages, copyright notices, rights requests, legal inquiries, and support requests.
• Maintain internal records related to compliance, legal obligations, and website administration.
• Enforce our Terms of Use and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of WatchRove, users, and third parties.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers and vendors that help us host, operate, maintain, secure, analyze, or improve WatchRove. These may include hosting providers, analytics providers such as Google Analytics, security tools, debugging tools, email providers, or professional advisers.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, government request, or similar legal process. We may also disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect rights, safety, users, the public, or the integrity of the website.

If WatchRove is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. If future advertising, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising features are added, this policy and any required "Do Not Sell or Share" mechanisms should be updated before those features go live.

Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.

• Analytics data should be retained according to the settings configured in Google Analytics and reviewed regularly.
• Contact messages may be retained as needed to respond, keep business records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
• Security and diagnostic logs may be retained for a limited period to detect abuse, debug issues, and protect the website.
• Legal notices and rights requests may be retained as necessary to document compliance and protect legal rights.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete it, de-identify it, aggregate it, or otherwise handle it according to applicable retention practices.

International transfers

WatchRove may use service providers located in countries other than your own. As a result, information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

If GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, international transfers should rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, adequacy decisions, transfer impact assessments, or other legally recognized mechanisms.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, least-privilege practices, secure hosting configurations, monitoring, and review of third-party service settings.

No website, browser storage mechanism, analytics tool, or internet transmission is completely secure. You use the website with the understanding that we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your GDPR and UK privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete data, restrict processing, object to certain processing, receive a portable copy of data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise rights, contact support@watchrove.com. We may need to verify your identity and request before responding. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the reason where required by law.

If we process data on behalf of another organization, we may direct your request to that organization or cooperate with them as required.

California privacy rights

If the CCPA/CPRA or similar California privacy laws apply, California residents may have the right to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Categories of personal information that may be collected include identifiers, internet or network activity, approximate geolocation derived from IP address, device information, and inferences about site usage. Sources may include your browser, your interactions with the website, analytics tools, and service providers. Purposes include operating the website, analytics, security, debugging, and communications.

WatchRove does not currently sell personal information for money and does not currently offer cross-context behavioral advertising. If future features involve sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or sensitive personal information, we should add the required notices, opt-out links, and request mechanisms before those features go live.

California requests can be submitted to support@watchrove.com. If the site becomes subject to additional CCPA method requirements, add the required webform, toll-free number, authorized-agent process, and verification procedures.

Children

WatchRove is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

If the website later adds accounts, comments, personalization, or community features, additional age-screening and parental-consent controls may be required depending on the audience and jurisdictions served.

Do Not Track and global privacy controls

Some browsers send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Where legally required and technically feasible, we will honor applicable opt-out preference signals for sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

Because this prototype does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, no sale/share opt-out link is currently implemented. If that changes, this page should be updated with a clear opt-out method.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the website changes, including when analytics, advertising, accounts, email features, licensed data providers, or new jurisdictions are added. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as a banner, changelog, or other prominent notice, where required by law.
